Staff Retreat | Jackass Meadow
We are off to one of the coolest spots God has created, Jackass Meadow. Actually near Jackass Meadow down the Hooper diversion. It’s the most remote place I have been to that doesn’t require 4wd to get there…all backpacking aside.
Most church staff retreats take place at nice conference places and hotels with golf courses in my experience. At Impact Church we do it a little different. We camp out in a remote spot (no rv of course) and get some great staff bonding time and catch some trout. There is nothing like discussing the coming years vision and strategy while pulling in a native brown. This is true worship. I like to find a nice patch of meadow to lay down in and just soak it up and breath it in. This trip makes my year.
Here’s a pic from last year of Travis holding a knife to the oldest living thing in the world…a Bristlecone Pine.
