Music | Weekly Hit List
Staff Retreat was awesome. Just a great time to re-focus and connect with God. You never realize your potential to love something until you see someone else in love with it. Travis and I usually spend a lot of time talking tunes on the road. Here’s the highlights.
- John Mayer | continuum. This album is deep with great tracks. Travis expects it to win album of the year…I agree. John Mayer has really matured and put together a sweet album that just plain grooves.
- Ray LaMontagne | trouble and till the sun turns black. Maybe we listened to Ray LaMontagne because we were in the mountains and he rocks a beard and flannel…or maybe because we were having a good reflective time and Ray is the master of introspective poetry.
- Bruce Hornsby | greatest radio hits. Our staff collective favorite song is on this album. Last winter we went to see Bruce Hornsby in concert. The guy writes hits, including one of the greatest songs ever…’The End of The Innocence‘, plus he does an incredible bluegrass rendition of ‘superfreak’ on the accordion.
