Man Purse
Yeah, I rock a man purse. I picked up my current one back in 1997. We’ve been through a lot together. For a while there I was lugging around a laptop case more than I preferred to. But at the end of the day, my man purse is everything I need. Especially with phone technology what it is these days, I can get by with out the lappy.
I put this puppy together from spare parts I found at the army surplus store in El Cajon, so I guess you could say that it is custom built.
So what’s in there? First is my journal. I’m not a huge journal person. I tend to hit it with infrequent but long updates. Except when I am on spiritual retreats or in the wilderness. I jot down my thoughts and what God is saying to me. A foreign exchange student wrote in Japanese “This Is The Hour” on it like 9 years ago.
Next is the bible, lately it’s this fancy duo-tone setup.
Then I have my trusty notebook (green thing). It’s small. I whip it out at meetings and I keep it in my pocket at church on Sunday to jot down all the things people tell me. I have to keep data really focused or I will get lost in it all.
I have two different business cards, one is the standard cardstock version and the other is a sticker book from moo.com. Those are for extra special people.
Pens, I rock what ever free pen I can score and a brown Sharpie. Brown is the new black.
The straps on the bottom are great for sticking an extra layer for chilly evenings. I have some kind of Adidas TechFit jacket that is lightweight and warm.
I also toss my camera in there when I need to. Along with my T-Mobile Dash, I can conquer the world with this rig.
I had a fanny pack back in ninety three… but only because all my favorite wwf wrestlers had them. could i still pull it off???

Dude, I love my Man Purse. Only someone completely confident in their masculinity can call it a “man purse.”
