Blog’s You Aren’t Reading

by Vince on May 27, 2008

I have always been the kind of person that is looking for the next cool new thing. Here are some feeds I am getting that you’re not…but should check out.

  • Feminist Mormon Housewives | Yeah I know. For some reason it is in the reader and I check in on them. They found me on a blog I wrote something for and started some discussion, been getting the feed ever since. Plus I have always been fascinated by Mormons.
  • Mike Davidson | Mike is the mastermind behind sites like Newsvine and ESPN.com. Add this to your reader to get insider information that only a guy at that level has access to. Plus I think he’s funny.
  • Seed Magazine | I enjoy thinking on the heavy. Seed magazine takes science to a cultural level as science begins to blur the line between culture and geekdom.

So I read a lot and I am looking for more. What should I add to the reader…your blog?

You were right. I don’t have any of those in my reader but I might just add them now!

Here are three that you may or may not have:

Internet Monk (www.internetmonk.com)
Though a bit too Van Til Calvinist for my taste, he never lacks for really juicy comments to bite into.

When did Mike Davidson get on Espn.com? When I was traveling the Arpanet back in 1989 with my other geek friends, ESPN was the first one to have a newsfeed accessible through Hypertext Protocol. I wonder if that was Mike’s doing?

Sorry, I got carried away with ESPN to add the other two I like to read.

Pajamasmedia.com is a blog but more commercial than most. However, the news I get there is worth reading more than most places.

http://www.Thunderstruck.org. Steve is a clearing house for the bizarre and delightful. Marginally Christian but always entertaining. Watch out for his obligatory Bono sightings and shoutouts.

Those are killer mike. Internet Monk looks like it will be a favorite.

I don’t think Mike Davidson does ESPN.com anymore.
