Fail | Philadelphia Inquirer

In the interest of slowing down progress and not caring about what people want, the Philadelphia Inquirer has decided that it is better for business to not post the content from the print paper on the website until after everyone gets their morning paper.

I sware I have been in an organization before that struggles with the truth of what being relevant to culture means_

Isn’t this similar to the church that still charges for sermons on CD and refuses to put their sermons on their websites. Years ago, the reason most ministries charged for the sermons (according to their spokespersons) was so they could produce good materials. We assumed they meant so they could buy good recording devices and duplicators. But now, anyone with a $50 microphone, free Audacity software and a laptop can put a podcast up for next to nothing. So the only reason to still charge for the sermons is to make money. But I think the deeper reason is that churches still don’t want the rest of the culture to know what they’re doing. Not really.
