I wish my blog could be a happy place all the time. Full of youtube videos and top ten lists. Please read this post prayerfully.
A lot of you in my ministry network are up to speed on the state of Impact Church and my current job search that in the last couple weeks has gone from a quiet testing of the waters to a full court press.
As a church planter I have been taking risks for the last 5 years and two church plants, it’s been a great experience that I will always have. It’s probably taken a few years off my life too. But that’s the type of person I am, I will lay my life down for those I love.
Impact Church is a healthy church that just hasn’t grown to the size we had projected and I have had to come off of payroll, along with the other staff members, although I still hold my title and try to carry some work load as I scramble around trying to make ends meet. We have come to this for various reasons, not the least of which is the economy, the timing of the plant and the 1 in 18 foreclosure rate in Murrieta which is the highest in the country.
Here’s what I ask of the nikao faithful:
Pray :: please lift my family up in prayer as we go through this scary time. Pray that we can keep our eyes on God and that we can keep moving forward,
Send me some work :: as a church planter I have been supplementing my income by consulting churches and developing web and communications stuff for churches and for-profit companies. During this time I need to really increase my work load to pay the bills. www.simpledrive.net for more
Spread the word :: Here’s my resume. or Contact me
Thank you so much for just being around and spreading love.
Much Love
Vince

I will commit to praying.
You are respected from my end. What you guys are doing for the Kingdom and the sacrifices you’ve made are an example for all of us.

vince, i’m definitely praying for you bro.
unfortunately, i know all to well the situation that you’re facing right now. i know it’s tough. but we serve a really big God. much bigger than all of this, and i have no doubt that he is going to take care of you, your family and the rest of the staff as you navigate through the coming days and weeks.
other than praying for you and your family and spreading your resume, if there is anything else i can do to help just say the word.

Vince, I am praying for you. I have been searching all over the place for a full time job in the last 10 months (many closed doors)as well. It’s tough, but I’m learning that I am totally dependent on Him for all things and that He is faithful to continue His work in us that He began from the beginning.
PS. Downloaded your resume. Are you looking to work in another ministry position? Out of state?

Vince, this really is hard to take. Nothing wears on me like financial uncertainty. Sacramento has gone through the same kind of shakeup as Murrieta/Riverside and we have seen five church plants close this year. And unfortunately, they were some of my favorite pastors in this area too. I will put the word around about your business (I actually had already done that, but I will redouble my efforts).

We will be praying daily for your future and peace. I know God has an incredible plan and a place all carved out for you where you can serve Him best. We’ll pray that your heart would be sensitive to his calling and you would be prepared over the next few days, weeks or months for what He has for you.
You are such a force for the kingdom. I am so proud of who you are. I’m excited to see where He will lead you next. Let us know if there is ANYTHING you need.
All our Love and Prayers,
Your Sister

Vince…God is faithful. Your creative talent and His provision will bring you through. I will be praying for you brother. I sent a link to your blog to Chuck Wing as well. He’s a great prayer warrior and he has a lot of business contacts. Perhaps one of them is looking for help on their website.
