OK I’ll Say Something
I can say that I am stoked about the election. I am encouraged when I think about the positive energy that is now buzzing throughout our country.
I would like to think that we know what is going to happen in the next four years. I would like to think that most of what happens will be positive.
As a Christian and a pastor, I am always looking to read and understand the culture in order to be more effective in loving people and expanding God’s kingdom, regardless of who is president. I also know that major change creates tremendous opportunity to impact culture with the Gospel as people everywhere look inside themselves.
Opportunity is here. What are you prepared to do?
Thank you for saying this. I have noticed that As Christians we tend to forget that we are asked to pray for our leaders, regardless of whether we vote for them or see eye to eye with them on every topic.
It just seems like during this whole election process there has been alot of anger and slurs that have been used by Christians on both the right and the left. My prayer is that we continue to see less and less of this.

Yes, bro. I will be very disappointed if the church has not grown up since 1992. Remembering back to that debacle where Christians were crying and predicting that President Clinton would be the next thing to the Antichrist, I rarely heard anyone outside of my little band of people praying for the President and his leadership team. I was so proud of Tony Campolo and Gordon McDonald when I heard they ministered to the Clintons after their marriage troubles. May we see Christians pray as hard for President Obama as they did for Proposition 8.

like i have been saying. Christians should be concerned with politics, but not worry about them.

Pray.
I am ready to stop worrying about myself and pray.
I think if I continue to focus on myself in any of this, I will lose sight of who is truly in charge.
