I am unsubscribing to your blog
My closest inner circle knows that I am streamlining my life in a big way and part of that is un-subscribing to your blog if you are one of these:
- Don’t send entire posts to my reader. I need to move fast, I only want to visit your blog to comment.
- You won’t stop pushing stuff. Nothing wrong with that, I just need less stuff. I’m glad your friend wrote a cool book or they are doing the sweetest webinar.
- Your blog is safe. I need to be filled with energy and thoughts from people that are pushing hard for the Kingdom. So take a chance.
I will say, that I wouldn’t mind adding a couple feeds. Any suggestions?
i'm so with you on this one. i JUST (last night) unsubscribed to 20 blogs because of the listed above. i also got rid of a couple bloggers that have blogged about the SAME thing as everyone else ALL year. i need to know there's more to you than that repeating parrot.

Ditto on the rules, though. I dropped my Google Reader from about 300 blogs to about 120 under these same rules.

It's cool. I got it.
Noticed you're with the ARC. I have started looking into them as a network for my plant

I agree on the abbreviated posts thing. Why not? What is the point of sending just the first couple of sentences?
I'd love to find some new good blogs to subscribe to. It's a lot harder than it seems.

The biggest reason I unsubscribe from blogs is that every post is basically about the same thing. I like variety. So even though I might not be interested in a blog every day, if I never know what to expect, I keep it.

Good thing you didn't mention spastic posting schedules, or I would definitely not qualify. Otherwise, I think I meet your criteria. Unfortunately I have to be a bit safer than I like because I don't want to get fired.
So, people looking for content: everyone is always welcome to subscribe to my blog!
I like the new look of the blog. I need to update mine but don't want to go through the mind-numbing process of doing that again.

I think I subscribe to far fewer feeds than you do right out of the gate…only like 60

I just went from over 200 to 65 baby! Of course that is a nicely packed and fresh 65. so I'm happy. Also, I hated seeing that little number get to 1000+

Just to be clear, if we have a twitter/blog relationship, i didn't drop you

I kind of dropped out of the whole blog world myself…I've got a reader full of blogs I don't read. They're all so egocentric…it kills me. It's all, "everyone listen to my profoundly esoteric opinion on all things metaphysical/theological/ecumenical…" I suddenly became afraid I was doing the same thing…maybe that's why I dropped my 'smart' blog. Plus nobody could really get me without knowing the transition I've been going through.
I don't really see nikao this way though. I enjoy it. Anyway, I guess this comment is kind of pointless.
