Love like Titus
No, not the Titus in the Bible, my dog.
You see, my dog loves you absolutely unconditionally and he hasn’t even met you. He will prove his love when you come visit by licking every available bit of skin on you and leaning against you until you fall over.
Yeah, it’s awkward, but he really loves you.
When we take him down to the lake for a swim he tends to run off. Not the traditional ‘I’m an idiot dog with no sense‘ kind of running off, he does it because he loves you. If you are out for a jog and you pass by, Titus will join you on your run because he wants to be with you. This happened this morning when a lady went jogging past our house. Titus went for a jog with a perfect stranger for a few blocks.
I’m learning from Titus. I’m learning what it means to love people regardless of all that stuff.

He's good to have around the office even though he isn't very productive
First, totally adorable picture. My dog has taught me SO much, but mostly I think she is training me to be a better, more patient parent some day. We must get Titus and Abi together to play!

I love pictures of Titus. He is adorable. I have two new chihuahua puppies. They are teaching me that love is the most important thing even when life hurts. The smallest one had to have her right eye removed (LONG story), but the first thing she wanted to do when we picked her up at the vet is love on me as much as possible. Forget the pain – she wanted to love on everyone. The bigger of the two puppies is teaching me that love can sometimes be painful – like when she takes a huge bite out of my nose while trying to kiss me. But no matter what is going on, they are just full of love. They fight with each other and then just love each other to pieces. It is very healing to be loved so much, even if just by a furball. So glad God made animals, especially dogs.

Among the many things my dog, Ivy, has taught me is the importance of forgivness. You see, Ivy in all her preciousness, has also been a challenging dog because of fear aggression and separation anxiety. Over the past seven years, I've gotten irritated with her many times, but it's amazing how quickly that feeling melts away when I look at her, and know how much she truly loves and wants to please me. I simply cannot stay mad or hold a grudge for any length of time…a good lesson for my life.
ps: Titus is beautiful!

@andrea // for reals, Titus is still figuring out how to swim. He needs to go with a dog that loves it.
@carolyn // what's with those chihuahuas our friends have a three legged one

I think chihuahuas were just meant to teach us special lessons. They weren't built as sturdy as other dogs, but they use their injuries to teach us perserverance, forgivness, and love.

I still say Titus is about the homlyist (?)dog I've seen in a long time…too big for the kids, they need a little cuddly doggie. Will say, this pix of him looks kinda sweet.
Now, if you want to see something cute and cuddly, you should see Sonny and Cher. The 2 kittens that we acquired from the Local Shelter. They keep 2 old people laughing and wondering what they will do next! This a.m., they figured out how to get on top of my stacked washer and dryer! Sonny loves people food. They run, no I mean Race thru the rooms and then wrestle each other. Sometimes Cher crys, but, she asks for it! They don't hid like Mittens used to do when company comes. Sonny is very friendly and wants on your lap.
God Bless all of you. We pray daily for you. love u
