Ignoring the signs

This is a confession I guess.
I tend to ignore signs. I think it is due to my life as a skateboarder growing up in a time without skateparks. Which basically meant if you wanted to skate you had to break the rules…because every spot had a sign.
Maybe I’m testing the people that oversee the space in question? Do they really mean it, or is it just something they feel they must do to protect something or someone?
or…
Maybe it’s because I have seen a lot of people create a lot of rules that deep in their hearts they don’t believe in; and maybe I’m here to find out who really means what they say and who is just putting up a front to protect an alternate reality they wish to create?
Interesting post. I thought along these same lines today when I sat at the doctor’s office and saw the typical “No Cell Phones” sign.

My wife and I battle on this stuff all the time. She’s very submissive to the signs

I think it’s really there to let people know that if they choose to climb the tree and break their neck in the process, no one can be sued : )
Yup, that’s definitely my thought on that little sucker…

@daniel // I think it’s a very American thing to be super submissive to authority in general
