Three dead people I want to chat with
*Every day this week I’ll be blogging about people I would love to have a chance to sit and talk with.
I guess I could have put it a nicer way but I wanted a short title.
Lao Tzu | taoist philosopher
Most known for writing the Tao te Ching which is the literary centerpiece for Taoism written around 600 BC. Lao Tzu’s handle on the simple truths of life is so profound and is in line with Biblical principles in a captivating way. I would really love to hear why he wrote it and where he learned these truths.
CS Lewis | author
Of course. Who wouldn’t? Clive wrote a few of my favorite books and based on what I know of his personality he was probably a cool dude to hang out with. I’d love to buy him a pint of ale and hear talking point on politics, love and God.
Peter | apostle
Peter was a ‘ready – fire – aim’ type of guy…which is how I run. I love his passion for life and for the people closest to him. I’m willing to bet he was a fun guy to hang around.
I'm going to go all irrelevant and say:
1. Steve Ray Vaughn – I'd ask him about how he assembled such an amazing band, and how he leads it.
2. John Bonham – I just want to sit next to him when he plays.
3. Walt Whitman – Goes without saying…
