The Park | we had a killer time at the park on Sunday. Ultimate frisbee, BBQ, kids getting crazy on the playground. Simple pleasures.

Tour De France | I have been a big fan since I was a kid pedaling the streets on my Araya road bike with one of those cycling hats with the short bill. I used to crawl out of bed early to catch the stages that wrap up at 9 AM Pacific Time. I know, Lance isn’t riding in the tour this year, but stand by, there could be some human drama.
Slap Bracelets | I may be dating myself but you remember these must have fashion accessories from 1989. And we were all bummed when our schools banned them because kids were getting cut by the metal inside. We figured out cool ways to launch random things across class using them as catapults.
The Crow | That movie rocked. Or maybe it just came out at the perfect time because I am pretty sure it would suck now. I grew up in Northern California and we had a pretty huge coffin kid population and this was the perfect movie for those kids. Plus it was Bruce Lee’s son.

Willow | Madmartigan. Midgets (LPs). What more do you need? Yeah it was a little weird, and probably a little long. Give it a second look this weekend.
The Beastie Boys | Obnoxious…maybe. Talented…Yes. Drop some B-Boys on your BBQ guests this 4th.

Collective Soul | They’re alright. They have a couple of really killer songs. Spin a few cuts and bring your self back to the 90’s.
Swing Music | Let’s be honest, it’s probably a good thing that you forgot about swing music
Slurpees | So good it hurts. Take the kids to 7eleven and get some ice cold refreshment. My favorite is Power Play Peach but coke will do.

Will Smith | You probably forgot that Will Smith is actually a terrific actor because he has been in such lame movies lately. I know I am Legend may have caused you to walk away from him for life. Will tried hard to carry that movie, but it just never had a chance to be good. One day he will get into the cast of a truly great movie.
The Wallflowers | We owe the Wallflowers a lot. They bridged the gap between the grunge era and the millennium and came out the other side still rocking. All is well though, Jakob Dylan has a solo album coming out in a few weeks. So spin some Wallflowers this afternoon, lay on the floor and soak it up.
The NBA | I know it has been a rough few years with San Antonio being so good yet so boring. Did you see Tim Duncan crack a half smile when he won the NBA championship last year? Snore. The NBA is going to come back huge riding on the careers of Chris Paul and LeBron James. It would help if the Bulls could figure something out too.
